Shopify Rebellion wins Valorant’s women's world cup!

Valorant’s women's pro-scene has new world champions! On Sunday took place the great finals of the Game Changer Championship - the women’s league’s world championship on Riot Games’ FPS. Organised in São Paulo, the competition included the year’s eight best teams, among those Team Liquid, G2 Gozen and Evil Geniuses.

As soon as the beginning of the best-of-three games, two squads clearly showed their domination: future winner Shopify Rebellion and incumbent G2 Gozen. It is only during the final stage that both rivals - who had fought for the title the year before in Berlin - got to clash.

With a victory in three rounds and after losing the first, Melanie “meL” Capone and her teammates defeated the incumbent world champions to head to the finals. They then beat Team Liquid, a team who had fought its way out of the lower bracket, notably by defeating G2 Gozen - who had won against them in the quarters - to reach the finals.

The great finals turned rather close, as victory was only obtained after a tie break, since both teams had won a round. It is after a great suspense and despite an audience cheering for their adversaries that Shopify Rebellion won the supreme title.
