The grand stage of the E3 video game expo announced its decision to bring the curtain down

The grand stage of the E3 video game expo, once a pulsating hub of excitement for gaming enthusiasts, has announced its decision to bring the curtain down. This marks a significant shift in the landscape of one of the most anticipated events in the gaming industry.

Stanley Pierre-Louis, the President and CEO of the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), has announced a significant shift in the landscape of the gaming industry. Bringing a close to over two decades of being a focal point for the US and global video game sector, the ESA has made the decision to bring an end to the iconic Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).

As a reminder, for over a quarter-century, ESA has been the driving force behind the grand annual gathering, a tradition upheld since 1995, predominantly staged in the city of Los Angeles. However, the event faced an abrupt hiatus in 2020 due the Covid-19 pandemic. The ESA, prioritizing the safety and well-being of participants, made the difficult decision to cancel the physical gathering that year.

Indeed, Stanley Pierre-Louis emphasized that the primary focus and priority of the ESA revolve around championing the interests of its member companies and the dedicated industry workforce.
